Scientists had pondered the idea of climate change as late back as the 1800s*1 but only collectively announced their first theories of human induced global warming in the 1970s. Since these early days the idea of human effected climate change has been plagued by controversy; and while the majority of scientists now agree on the state of warming doubt still remains in certain circles of the public. Over the next few months I aim to address some of the finer points of the climate controversy, looking at why doubt still remains on the issue, its real impacts on our communities, and how each level of Government has responded to the problem. I look forward to hearing your ideas and feedback on what I consider to be one of the major conundrums of modern society.
